Martin Vidal

Martin's experience includes almost 20 years of working with Rio Tinto in the exploration of industrial minerals in several countries in America, occupying different technical and managerial positions. Martin has a BSc. in Geology and studies in Non-Ferrous extractive Metallurgy from the University of Sonora (1987). From May 2013 until Dec 2017, he served as the President of Bacanora Minerals, where he retains a position as senior consultant.

Prior to that, Martin served as Vice President, Exploration – Mexico for Bacanora Minerals from January 2011 to May 2013. He started his career as a geologist with the U.S. Borax exploration team and has over 20 years’ experience working in Northern Mexico, particularly in the project areas that EMI is reviewing and to develop.
